As an IAM Security Engineer III for Identity Governance & Administration (IGA) you will design, build, and deploy systems which govern Indeed identities and access. We are a team of builders where we wear many hats to get the right stuff done. With your team you will define robust ways to build, operate, and scale security mechanisms. You will interact with technical teams across Indeed to secure global systems that scale to tens of millions of pageviews a day, see over 200 million unique visitors per month, and serve Indeedians in over 25 global offices.
Responsibilities:
Design and implement IGA platform
Integrate IGA platform with all identities stores
Govern the identity lifecycle for employees, contractors, service accounts, privileged accounts, and other identity types.
Develop IGA standards that can be adopted by product and IT teams.
Build the strategy and playbooks for identities and access.
Design, develop, and deploy systems that increase the security of our platforms.
Demonstrate deep knowledge of the software and systems in your domain and how they interact with other products.
Provide on-call support on a rotational basis.
Decompose work needed to achieve your team's goals.
Work with stakeholders to prioritize and plan your team's work items.
Serve as an escalation point for your team.
Guide team to stay focused on high priority initiatives and help remove blockers.
Assist others in balancing short term results and long term investment.
Incrementally validate investment in innovation and new technologies.
Help IT and product engineering teams adopt and integrate security capabilities into their product development lifecycles.
Provide feedback and guidance for development projects on your team including design feedback, code review, and supporting the team's production code.
Lead initiatives on your team around new product features and architecture improvements, in collaboration with team members.
Mentor Indeedians outside your immediate team.
Who You Are
We are looking for an IAM Security Engineer III to design systems and processes to enable the Identity Governance & Administration team within IAM to become a leading security organization. This will include deploying an identity lifecycle management system, establishing access certifications, developing an RBAC framework, implementing birthright access, and access governance workflows.
You are someone with high standards who will push us to be better, and who will take pride in Indeed like we do. You are well versed in your discipline, have managed security engagements, and earned the respect of talented technology engineers. You are equally happy talking concepts and exploring best practices as you are directly executing significant Security initiatives.
Who You Are
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Computer Security, Information Systems, or equivalent field required
Highly adaptable in a fast-paced hyper-growth environment; proven track record of delivering while working independently.
You have 5+ years working with IGA solutions (SailPoint, Saviynt, One Identity, etc.)
You have 3+ years working with Amazon Web Services (AWS) including EC2 and Lambda.
You have a thorough command of IAM technology/systems that will be utilized in achieving business goals.
You have deep expertise and accomplishments in credential management
You have experience in Python and/or shell scripting
You have a strong working knowledge of REST and OpenGraph
You are an expert in Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform experience is a plus)
You demonstrate an informed and thoughtful approach to managing evolving technology/system changes and end user needs across the business.
You consistently demonstrate inclusive behavior, cultivates diversity, and a sense of belonging amongst your colleagues, portfolio, and stakeholders.
You possess an advanced understanding of how functional and technical decisions will impact system performance and scalability enterprise-wide.
You have worked closely with Security professionals and other engineering teams to adopt secure processes and practices.

You naturally exude team-building, motivating, and conflict-resolving qualities.
You are decisive - you gather the data and make and communicate informed, critical decisions quickly, with minimal supervision.
You have executed multi-team initiatives: defined project plans, coordinated resources, managed implementation activities, and developed all processes associated with program rollout and ongoing support.
You have experience with agile/lean methodologies and have hands-on experience with the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).

Salary Range Disclaimer
The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Indeed salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Indeed's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include quarterly bonuses, Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), an open Paid Time Off policy, and many region-specific benefits.
