Release Manager - Release and Test Manager - Software and Systems Release Manager is required to ensure all software, and systems release processes are relevant and delivered on time, without issues or unplanned system outages for my client who is based close to the Hampshire/Dorset border. My client is looking to pay this Release Manager a salary of up to £44K + Bens and is offering a hybrid working environment.
Key responsibilities for this Release Manager,
- Deliver best practice release management ensuring full documentation and adherence to policies and procedures
- Manage and optimise the release calendar for all applications and data releases including planning release windows and cycles across the portfolio
- Manage and mitigate risks and resolves issues that affect release scope, schedule, and quality both within and across teams and directorates. Proactively manage adjustments required due to customer impacts.
- Measure and monitor progress to ensure application releases are delivered on time and within budget, and that they meet or exceed expectations
- Supporting the Release and Test Manager in implementing and managing release processes for code through development, test, and production environments using a CI/CD methodology
- You will own the Release life cycle, including scheduling, coordinating, and managing releases across the enterprise for multiple applications, whether that be operating system patches, security improvements, hardware upgrades, or Project-driven change following agile best practices

- Previous experience in a Release Manager - Release and Test manager role
- Experience in information systems operations environment in systems analysis or development
- Advanced knowledge of software development life cycle
- Effective leadership and analytical skills
- Experience in iterative solution development approaches as well as traditional waterfall approaches

My client is offering a Hybrid WFH and Office ideally attend the office maybe once or twice a week depending on the Release program so Ideally, you will live within a commutable distance of the offices in Poole, Dorset
