Our client is a global Fortune 300 telecommunications company. Highly successful and growing across the globe, they are currently hiring for a Network Server Engineer. The role:As Network Server Engineer, you will be responsible for: designing, deploying and maintaining the company's business-related infrastructure - servers, services and applications. Designing and implementing monitoring systems for customer networks Providing 2nd/3rd line support Supporting Solutions, Network Consulting and Planning Supporting other divisions within the business including European branchesYour role as Network Server Engineer will include: Provisioning, planning, designing, and implementing core systems and services, including hardware, software, servers, and applications. Network configuration and day-to-day service delivery Network server implementation and optimization Proof of concept testing and acceptance testing Development of new features and services Vendor negotiation and control Project and service delivery schedule management. Migration planning and execution 2nd level troubleshooting - company divisions and external customers Project coordination and time management for smooth implementation - working to meet target deadlines with each task or project Network Server Engineer must-haves: Server experience - Linux/Windows, PHP, Perl, MySQL Network knowledge - TCP/IP, Data transmission, L2/L3 VPN, Multi-layer networking Experience with an ISP related service applications such as SMTP, DNS, HTTP, Radius, SNMP Monitoring & Traffic Mgmnt Experience monitoring applications such as icignia, nagios and solarwinds Experience in network cabling and equipment installations General routing experience Experience with Cisco command operations and configurationThe successful candidate will be an experienced Network Server Engineer, ideally with experience in the above highly desirable.
