Boston Spa, Yorkshire British Library
Description
Full Time, Fixed Term for 18 months

This new role offers a unique and exciting opportunity to join our team delivering one of the British Library's major transformational capital programmes. The programme will transform the Library over the next decade. It will open up our world class resources to more people than ever before, working with partners towards a British Library presence in one of the North's greatest architectural wonders - the Grade-I listed Temple Works in the Holbeck district of Leeds; and will support regeneration and economic recovery at a local, regional and national scale.

In this new role, you will be responsible for detailed analysis to assess the viability of the Library's proposal for a British Library at Temple Works in Leeds, identifying the required changes to deliver new and inspiring public facing services for audiences of over half a million per year.

You will have significant and practical experience of requirements management, business process modelling, process re-engineering, and business change. You will lead workshops, and work with key senior leaders across the Library, to identify the service requirements that will shape the physical design; document user stories that will deliver those requirements; undertake gap analysis; and propose recommendations for change.

To ensure that the proposed services will be underpinned by efficient new workflows and technical developments, you will analyse and document existing and new business processes, reengineering where required. You will support the development of delivery plans, financial models, options papers and detailed requirements catalogues, enabling decision making, assessments of viability and implementation.

The role will be based at our Boston Spa site in West Yorkshire, with travel to both Leeds city centre and our London site required.
